Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour - It's my turn!

I am so excited to have my block included in Volume 4 of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks from today's top designers! My block for Volume 4 is titled "Garden" and it is constructed with two of my favorite techniques - piecing and appliqué!

The instructions and templates to make "Garden" can be found in Quiltmaker"s 100 Blocks, Volume 4, which will be on your newsstands beginning November 15th! As an example of a project you can make with my block, I designed this table topper. I added more quarter square triangle blocks and appliqué in borders all around, medallion style.

I enjoy all types of needlework, and I have just recently authored a book titled Be Merry: Quilts and Projects for Your Holiday Home, published by Kansas City Star Quilts. In addition to 7 quilt projects, Be Merry also includes four wool appliqué projects, three of which are stitched with Aurifil Lana wool thread.
